Welcome to my Professional Inquiry Project. My name is Brooke DeBona, and I am a fifth year student at the University of Lethbridge, pursuing a combined degree in Science and Science Education. I am currently completing my final internship in a grade 3/4 multiage classroom at St. Teresa of Calcutta School.
As part of my final internship, I am required to complete a Professional Inquiry Project that centralizes on a question that is specific to my placement. I have been fortunate enough to have been placed in a team teaching dynamic that combines 2 classrooms, and allows for 2 teachers to collaborate at all times. At the beginning of my internship, the concept of team teaching was completely new to me, and I was hesitant due to my unfamiliarity. As the weeks have progressed, I have been able to broaden my understanding and experience this teaching method with 3 different teachers. My goal with this project is to create a resource that can help inform others who may be as unfamiliar with team teaching as I was, and share the perspectives of those who have experienced team teaching first hand. By doing so, I hope to address the complex question of "What are the effects of team teaching on both student and teacher performance?" Please use the menu at the top of the page to navigate to the sections of the project that are of interest to you! |
